Hongbao Xin's Biophotonics Group is a vibrant and multidisciplinary research group at the Institute of Nanophotonics, Jinan University. Led by Dr. Hongbao Xin, the mission of the Xin Group is to understand the life mechanism of a single cell at the subcellular and molecular level, and further control the living activities at single cell level using optical techniques. Research in this group is focused on biophotonics, particularly, optical tweezers for bio-manipulation, bio-micromotor/robot for bio-actuation, plasmonic nanoantenna for bio-detection.
